Marek Szczepański

Marek Szczepański – a former officer of the Polish Police; since 1994, a police negotiator, communicator, member of the police negotiators’ group in Kraków (he has repeatedly participated in and coordinated around 100 crisis resolutions involving threats of explosions, suicides, hostage situations, ransom demands, security at public event and ceremonies, including football matches, international visits, etc. (all these negotiations ended with positive outcomes). He graduated from the Higher Police School in Szczytno (Poland), completed a negotiator training course at Louisiana University (USA), and is a certified negotiator. He worked in senior positions in the Polish Police and the Police of the Federal Republic of Germany. He is an active coach and author of training programs Managing Human Behavior during Mass Events and in Crowds and Hostage Situations and Other Cases Requiring Negotiations for training negotiators and communicators in the Polish Police, the National Police of Ukraine, and the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine. He is also the author of training programs for employees of the banking system, social services, and the penitentiary system of Poland. Now he is the head of the monitoring service of the municipal police in Kraków (Poland).
